Jerome was pleasant and cordial. He appeared to be knowledgeable and claimed he's been in this line of work for over 40 years. He prepared our individual tax returns in less than a week. After reviewing the data it appeared to be correct. I brought my elderly mothers tax return documents during the same visit and he prepared them as well. Both returns should have been e-filed at the same time. The IRS received mother's return in about 2 weeks, however, not mine. It's been over 2 months now and I can't get Jerome to follow up on this. My initial appointment with him was March 10th and now It's May15t! I confirmed with the IRS that they did not receive my return and that typical processing time is 21days. Jerome never replied to text messages or emails even though he stated they are acceptable methods of communication. If I call, he may be at the post office or elsewhere and the last time at church and indicated he'd call back. Never received any calls from him. Fortunately, he gave me a completed hard copy after I paid him. I requested a receipt and a PDF copy... nothing. After many futile attempts I've gotten nowhere and my patience has withered. I'm now forced to photocopy my return and mail it in and possibly face a penalty. Bottom line, this should not be happening to a client. I believe I've been very patient and cordial communicating, more than most would be, given the situation.
