Nancy has been my tax preparer and accountant since 1986...she cleaned up a mess I was in back then and has continued to take such good care of my little tax world! Nancy is probably the most intelligent lady I know along with being observant, funny loving, caring, ethical, and professional! I moved to Las Vegas for 21 years and drove back to California every tax season...didn't even consider trying to find someone local. I love this lady! She's taken the scariest part of my life and made it manageable with awesome advice and empathy for my neurotic inability to face finances head on. What more can I say? She's the very best!

I noticed a less than stellar review on this site and felt compelled to write my own. Typically I am not a big fan of the review writing process as it is a forum that allows anyone to say anything without a double check on bias,or on the accuracy of what's posted. A review is only one person's interpretation of what transpired, not always what did transpire. It seems we all to often take the time to express our displeasure and not often enough take the time to say thanks. It feels bad that someone can have a moment of displeasure and post comments that have the potential to adversely affect a business. It seems MUCH more honorable to address any problems you may have with the person or business you are having the problem with instead of tattling to the world. If we were all subject to such public scrutiny in our personal lives for every action, we would all be miserable. Super surprised by the negative review for Nancy and her staff. I personally don't choose my tax preparer based on their Microsoft skills, but instead chose based on decades of tax knowledge, something that Nancy has. I am a big fan of personal responsibility and yes, I rely on the professional doing their part, but I too have to do mine. Nancy has done my taxes for over three decades and my taxes are not simple. I have foreign income, many K-1's, all with many pages of documents and I have never had a problem with missing documents or misplaced information. Over the decades I have been nothing but please by the personal attention and the honest, true desire to do what's best for me. I can't count the number of times that Nancy has brought to my attention something that I have forgotten or not thought of that has saved me thousands of dollars in taxes. I feel confident in Nancy's work and the work of her office staff, and have NO hesitation in recommending her to others. In fact she must be doing something right as her schedule is booked a year in advance, with repeat business. I feel very lucky to be one of her long time clients.

I have known Nancy for over 27 years. She has been taking care of my business and personal taxes for all this time. Nancy is a wonderful, kind, caring, genuine lady as well as an extraordinary CPA. I have also worked with Nancy through mutual clients that I do the bookkeeping for and she takes care of the taxes. I know that everyone one of us adores her sweet nature and extensive knowledge that she uses to meet our tax situations and our best benefit. You get your money's worth! AND she has a great sense of humor as well!

We have been going to Nancy for about 16 yrs. The 1 year we missed our appt with Nancy we had to use another CPA we were audited because we used someone else. I hope she never retires because I honestly don't know what we will do without her! She is amazing and such a gem of a CPA!! We are so blessed to have her!.

Nancy Allen has prepared my taxes for 25 years. That means 25 years of sleeping at night knowing my taxes are done right. Nancy has great integrity, excellent CPA skills, and a heart bigger than Texas. I have never had a return done with a mistake or a problem as a result of her work. I do know however, if there was an issue she would be right there with me, until it was resolved. I have referred her to friends and family with great confidence on how they will be treated and the work that will be done. She keeps me organized, and provides terrific advice to keep my financial world in sync. You could not get a better CPA anywhere. Please...never retire. What would I do without you?

Over the past 30+ years, I have had only one CPA prepare my tax returns both business, and personal. Nancy's credentials are impeccable - a master's degree in taxation, work experience as a former IRS auditor, and continuing post-graduate education. I have found Nancy's professional and personal moral standards to be of the utmost propriety. Her tax planning has saved me thousands of dollars, and more importantly, when I was audited once for a questionable tax shelter, Nancy accompanied me to the audit and succeeded in having my case dismissed. I highly recommend Nancy's services because I believe she is an expert in taxation and financial planning;an honest,ethical, dependable, and detail-oriented person.

I have been a client of Nancy Allen's for roughly 25 years. She and her and her wonderful staff have seen me through every tax year; when I barely earned a cent to where I am now as a well paid tv commercial producer. Nancy and her staff was able to quickly adapt to my changing tax needs through the years, through an audit, and when I went from being and employee to self employed. I sincerely recommend Nancy for her skill, tax code knowledge and her year's of experience. All go towards making the tax process a bit less heinous. BEST rating earned here!!! Nancy Allen has been our accountant for 22 years now and she is the most reliable, accurate and knowledgeable accountant we have ever had. Nancy not only knows all that is necessary, she seems to know everything - truly an expert in her field!!! To add the "icing on the cake" though, is the fact that Nancy is such a caring and loving person who would and does go the extra mile for you and I whenever needed. I was referred to Nancy Allen and Kathy Kulick by a friend as I was having issues with a multi-year audit. I have a small construction business and although I had used a local accounting and tax firm for all of my tax returns there were some major problems with the way they had prepared the returns. Nancy and her staff was able to pull together all of the information from past tax years and resolve the issues in a matter of weeks. My previous accountant had worked on these issues for over a year. At the end of the day, Nancy easily saved my company. Had I agreed to pay the amount proposed by my previous accountant it would have put me out of business and I would have had to declare bankruptcy. I honestly don't know what I would have done without the honest advice and the vast experience that Nancy and Kathy brought to the table. I would certainly recommend Nancy Allen & Associates if you are looking for an honest and knowledgeable CPA that is familiar with both personal and corporate accounting and taxes.

Nancy has been my accountant for the past 25 years and has always done everything she could to give me the best possible advice and service. She has such a wealth of knowledge and experience in so many diverse areas. As a firm Allen and Associates has always been diligent about follow up, and making sure everything was up to date and handled in a timely manor.

We have used Nancy to prepare our personal tax returns for probably 25 years. As a retired CFO, I have found her work to be complete, professional and accurate. In some years, we had some complex issues which she handled effectively. We were also audited one year; she took our information, dealt with the IRS and resolved their questions without any additional taxes or penalties. She is also a pleasure to work with.

I remember the names of all 11 CPAs that I've worked with on my personal and business taxes over the last 45 years. I left my 10th CPA two weeks into my first and only IRS audit. At this time the IRS was aggressively attempting to impose back-breaking, sizable penalty and interest charges on me. Terror-stricken and looking for help, I explained my tax situation to an ex-IRS agent of 20 plus years; he was a CPA advertising to assist people with IRS audits. After hearing my tax problems, he actually referred me to Nancy. My audit was complex and lasted more than a year . I was very plesantly surprised how Nancy calmly and intellegently managed the audit, issue by issue. Her calm professional demeanor gave me much needed tranquility during this long nerve-racking audit process. In the end the IRS rightfully reduced their large initial sum to peanuts. Without Nancy's management of my tax audit I would have been no more than a paralyzed deer in the IRS headlights. The most important lesson that Nancy has taught me over the years is the necessity for complete, decipherable, organized personal and business record keeping. Without this a CPA's job becomes exponentially more challenging. I have read a less than brilliant negative review on this site. I would venture to guess that this person must have issues with the clarity of his records and their transmittal. Perhaps he has the need to find fault with others for his own short-comings? I've been with Nancy for 19 years now, I'll never leave her. She is ethical, more than competent, astute, professional, and she has a rare quality seldom found in her profession...SHE CARES. I have had absolutely no technical issues with receiving, or transmitting comprehensible documents, or with any other forms of communication with her office. Also,whenever I work with her at her office, it's very apparent that her tax software is current, fast and efficient. If I could give her 10 stars I would, she's the best in my book.

I have used Nancy Allen as my tax person for over 25 years for both my business and personal tax needs. I have never known anyone more ethical, competent, or trustworthy. I would recommend Nancy Allen to any of my family, friends, and business associates. In fact I have. Its nice to deal with a company that really puts the clients interest first. Nancy Allen's professional background and experience are unsurpassed in my view. That's why she is my CPA of choice for all my tax and tax planning needs. She is simply the best in my view.

Nancy Allen has been my accountant for 30+ years. I will not give a better number as it will give away both our ages (gasp)! Nancy has seen me through the challenging years, fresh out of college and later grad school, with all the crazy debt burden; The moral years when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer (yes, we file taxes!); The overseas times (possibly having to sign on a foreign acct); The lean years - when I could have papered a significant wall with 1099 forms; The good years, where I made some bad financial decisions and had to learn my consequences, paying more taxes than I realized. Through it ALL, Nancy has been ethical, conscientious, trustworthy and exceedingly professional. I doubt many people could have presented more strange situations than I have so I can honestly say, Nancy has been field tested! Everyone deserves the best CPA so they can sleep at night. The office is not technically advanced and won't take ownership for mistakes, although to their credit, they only made one major mistake worth thousands of $$$s in the three years I worked with them. I have used Nancy for my taxes for a few years but I recently received a letter from the IRS for an assessment on my 2012 taxes. After some investigation, I found that Nancy had filed my taxes, but excluded income from one of my w2s, which I had sent to Nancy and Dede on multiple occasions. It took forever on the phone explaining basic outlook functionality to help the office staff find my email with the missing info (they FIRST denied that I ever sent it to them, but how would they do my taxes without my files?). After acknowledging they made a mistake, they tried to blame me for not noticing the mistake in my taxes when they sent me the final version (the reason I pay someone to do my taxes is because I'm not an expert). I don't pay myself to do my taxes. They also tried to charge me for the refiling fee to correct their mistake, but later offered to do it for free. THANKS! Looking back, there are many other times occurrences that should have sent me running. Nancy may have bad eyesight, which isn't a problem, but when I sent over an excel sheet of expenses, the office staff kept asking me fit the excel sheet on one page, since they were changing the view size to 300%+. I explained over the phone how to resize the view on an excel sheet, but I ended up having to send over a PDF with everything one page. These are basic Microsoft Office skills that I hope any office staff would have. Currently, I have an IRS penalty of thousands of dollars, and after requesting they cover the penalty with no response, they offered to pay half, by their logic I was half at fault. That's not someone I want to do business with. I originally felt like leaving one star, but two of three years they did my taxes I didn't have major assesments, so I gave them two stars.
