I'm the president of Broadband Products, Inc., which is based in Cherry Hill, NJ. Mark Comerota of MCA Accounting worked for my company about 30 -40 hours per week as an accounting consultant for around four years beginning around 2009 through 2013. As a consultant providing accounting work, Mark had direct access to an extraordinary amount of our confidential trade information such as major suppliers and unit costs. In mid-2013 I found out through data, e-mails and files that he had stored on a company owned computer, that Mark had been scheming and planning for as long as a year to compete directly with my company. While working and getting paid by our company to provide accounting services, Mark quietly formed his own company called "Atlas Media", that competed directly with our company. Same products. As an accounting consultant that seeks trust in order to gain access to confidential sensitive information, this is about as unethical as you can possibly be. I began proceedings to sue Mark Comerota and also to formally report him to the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy. My attorney advised that due to his limited assets, a lawsuit wouldn't be worth the time and money since it would cost me more to sue Mark Comerota or MCA Accounting than what we would be able to recover in damages since neither ne nor his company had any assets. I am still considering reporting him to the state in order to expose him to other companies that might hire him and give him access to confidential information. I would caution any company that is considering hiring Mark Comerota or MCA Accounting to think very carefully before allowing him access to information you would not want a competitor to have access to. Mark is about as unethical as they come. Feel free to call me at 856-216-8222 if more information is needed. Robert
