I had a similar experience to the other reviews. He handled my 2012 returns well. For 2013, he claimed to nearly have my tax return completed, but never filed them. I had to re-request all the documents I provided to him, as he never returned them and I had to start over and was forced to file late as a result. I had used him through a referral, which made this even more surprising. Don't consider using him!

Similar to another reviewer, Dennis simply did not file our taxes last year (2014 for the 2013 tax year). He engaged us as the tax season started, we returned our packet to him by mid-Feb; and by early April we had not heard from him. We reached out, and he said he would not get to it before 4/15 and would file an extension for us, and then file within a few days after the due date. Never happened, and we have not heard from him again. We were assessed penalties and interest as a result. I would not recommend Dennis Briggs. He is unreliable and has poor communication.

Dennis did our taxes for years and I referred many colleagues and friends to him. This year Dennis did not do what he said he would do, provided no explanation of his disappearance and failed to return our original documents. All this despite dozens of phone calls, emails and even a visit from the police. Completely unprofessional. We had to find a new accountant and generate all new documents then file late returns with penalties. Save yourself the trouble and find someone else. We are extremely disappointed in Dennis as are many of our referrals.
