My girlfriend got her 2012 income tax prepared by Vi Lam at KLT Services in San Jose, CA. Vi Lam made a simple mistake about qualify child by told my girlfriend that she couldn't claim her 13 years old brothers because they are her brothers (not her children) even though they lived with her whole 2012 year and she fully supported them. Therefore, instead of a refund, she had to pay more than $2000 tax due. Vi told my girlfriend that she didn't qualify for earn income credit, child tax credit and additional child tax credit. Hope this is the only mistake you made but i doubt about it.
