Very experienced, conscious, and knowledgable in: IRS examinations, IRS appeals, and financial-product taxation. He really understands how it all works and the internal politics involved. For 35 years, he was one of the best IRS financial-product specialist and later a great manager. On many occasions, he was called into difficult appeals cases in other parts of the country. I met him about 10 years ago while teaching finance classes to IRS employees, He was by far the best student. Other IRS managers told me that he was a superstar.
