I wanted to write a honest review about credo and My interaction with Dan Lucas. I had worked with Dan for two years prior to him starting his own shop, credo. In that time Dan was a pleasure to work with. Once dan started his own company and brough his brother Adam to work with him, his customer service and lack of detail started to pop up in his work. I recommended my brother in law to work with Dan and Dan failed each qtr to pooperly file my brother in laws company taxes, costing penalties and ultimately an audit- all due to Dan lack of customer service and attention to detail. I dropped off my takes with Dan, as I have every year at the beginning of march, also paid the 50% up front to allow them to start on my taxes. I contacted Adam and Dan on April 5th to see where we stood in the process, as I hadn't heard from anyone at credo, Dan and Adam repsonded, my taxes would Not be complete until the 30th of April, I then proceeded to ask Da. If I should seem a refund and go elsewhere. His response was, yes and take your mothers taxes with you, we no longer are able to meet your deadline. No rhyme or reason, just overworked and again no attention to detail. I come to find out, after speaking with other customers, Dan and Adam are a two man shop with too many commitments and not enough time. Over 45% of his clientele wil have to file an extension, because they are unable to fulfill their obligations. He also stil hasn't refunded my money (50% upfront) after numerous request. I would watch out for the smoke an mirrors that credo/Dan and Adam create. They are unable to effectively meet deadlines and cost customers money and audits in the end. I have since found a professional tax preparer and now see what I truly was missing from working with these two gentlemen. I would watch out when working with Dan and Adam at credo. They truly are out of their comfort zone
