Client Reviews of Deborah Van Buren Wiencek

We went to Deborah for several years and even though she spent most of our time "pontificating" about her political views (which are none of our concern) and charging us to sit there while she complained about the government, she seemed to do a good job. However, the past two seasons she completely botched our taxes causing us to owe money when in fact if she had actually prepared our taxes correctly with us based on the very detailed information provided to her we would not only would have been free from payment but we would have received a refund. Nine months later we are still dealing with the aftermath no thanks to her. She failed to claim multiple valid deductions and caused us to have to use one of her counterparts to help us clean up the aftermath (which is still an issue). In addition, she didn't allow us to view our taxes (or sign them) before she sent them in even after repeated calls and messages left for her. She didn't even apologize for submitting our taxes without our review, consent or signature which could be illegal (although I'm not positive because I'm not a lawyer but it is certainly unethical). Clearly she is just not as good as she used to be in our eyes. She lacks in customer service, lacks in communication and is no longer fit to do our taxes.
