Terrible service from a rude, egotistical, incompetent preparer. Office is disgusting, and so is his sense of cleanliness and politeness. Team communication does not exist. Do not waste your time or money, there are plenty of better services in Santa Monica and beyond, that are not in a gross home office.

It is with deep regret I trusted her. I thought I was helping her by going with her. I make under 60k and I am a single mother. I could have used the service provided for struggling mothers who barely have enough to go by but I went with her. Mrs Laura Llanes acted in an unprofessional manner when dealing with my taxes. She retaliated because she bought a car from our dealer and later had buyers remorse. There was no way we could return the car even if we wanted to. I warned her and the whole dealer warned her of the consequences. She did not care. It was two weeks later she wanted to return. It’s not my fault she decided to buy a car. This is not something I pushed on her to do. While after Laura told me she was having heart health problems due to the car she bought well then I thought I would go with her and do my taxes. However she betrayed my private information and caused me penalties for putting down my daughter lives with me “0” days. This caused me $1,500.00 in penalties. I will try to fix the error with another tax preparer. However I wanted to share this for future references. I do not recommend and would not trust her. It is unbecoming to take advantage of others. I’m a single mother and barely get by! I can’t believe there are women out there destroying other women. It is a shame to have to share this. Please avoid if you care for your children and depend on such income.

Shirley is a crook. She filed taxes fraudulently on behalf of her client, resulting in an audit and excessive payments to the irs in back taxes. She assured her client they filed correctly, however when she was contacted in 2022 for assistance regarding the audit: Shirley was unresponsive.

Bad experience, the worst, Ms. ESPINOSA filed my taxes from 2021-2022 period. I gave her everything she asked for including my bank account number so my refund would be deposited into it. I never received my refund at all for 18 months Ms. ESPINOSA kept lying to me about my refund status and finally when I spoke to agents from IRS I found out that my refund was deposited on 02/22/22 in a Wells Fargo Bank account that I had no knowledge of and it was LAROYE TAXES business account which Ms. ESPINOSA is the owner of. She refused to see me when I called and she even insinuated that I was lying. She is a MAJOR FRAUD

I am writing to provide feedback about my recent experience with one of the tax preparers listed on The National Directory. I believe that sharing my insights could be helpful for other individuals or businesses intending to use their services. The tax preparer I engaged is Mr. Jesus a ramirez, who is based in Miami Florida. I found his contact details and information about his expertise on your directory and decided to entrust him with filing my taxes for the fiscal year 2020-2022. I was extremely pleased with the level of service provided by Mr. Ramirez. He exhibited great proficiency in addressing my complexities regarding IRS codes and regulations. In addition to being highly knowledgeable in his field, he was also very patient and took time to explain various tax elements that were unclear to me. His availability and attentiveness were impressive. He managed to answer all my questions promptly either through phone calls or emails, demonstrating exceptional professionalism.

I hired Laura to do my taxes in which she charged me a fee and I immediately paid her via Zelle only to find out that she NEVER filed my taxes and by the time I found this out, my taxes were late! So not only was I not filed, my taxes were late and I paid her a fee, but she also continued to avoid my many attempts to contact her via: phone calls, messages and emails. And the one time I actually got through on a phone call (only because I blocked my phone number and then called and she picked up) only to be told that she will look into it right away and call me right back. Well, that’s right you guessed it, SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK and again, I was unsuccessful in trying to reach her again after the many attempts to contact her. After weeks and weeks of the run-around, I contacted the IRS directly and it was confirmed, they showed NO TAX RETURN ON FILE! Wow what a huge disappointment!!!! To date, I still have heard nothing back from her nor have I received a refund (which in this case would be considered deemed appropriate). I did write her and asked her to do the right thing and to refund me the money I paid her to do my taxes and again, nada, zero response. I DO NOT RECOMMEND using her services! She DOES NOT provide a proper service and in my experience, she is VERY UNETHICAL AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

It was a mistake to use Elizabeth Montoya's services. I found her to be non communicative, defensive, full of excuses, and pricey. I was unable to have a one on one conversation with Elizabeth regarding my taxes until three months after tax preparation. Beware.

Never got my tax return or an explanation!!!! I tried calling this guy over and over again but he wouldn’t pick up the phone. Now im short $1,400 because i trusted this guy. 0/5 starts I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

ZERO STARS!!! Screwed up tax and didn’t know the correct way to fix and charged to fix it!!! Did not get resolved by her!

Not trustworthy, charges per hour and then charges for 3 hours to do taxes that shouldnt take more than one hour. Charged me to do taxes for my deceased Moms taxes for previous refund owed to her. I never received the refund and when I called he said he had to charge me more money to retrieve the paperwork. I asked him for a refund for his fee he said ok. I never received a refund from him or the IRS. I tried contacting him again he blocked my cell number and hung up on me when I called from my landline. Do not trust him.

She will not be proactive on your business. She's focused on making money and having volume of clients. She will not satisfy your needs, if you're looking for an accountant that will work with you side by side to achieve your goals. Skip her, it'll save you the trouble.

I have requested copies of my 1040s for the past two years and he refuses to produce them. For the past two years he gave me flash drives instead. Both were blank. After reviewing my transcripts for these two years, I’ve discovered that he has grossly exaggerated losses on a small condo I own and rent. I've now spent money to get 1040 copies from the IRS ($43 per copy) and can take up to 75 days to receive, per IRS website, I've been forced to hire an attorney which is very expensive. Anticipating even more legal fees because l'm pretty certain l'll be audited. He doesn’t deserve even one star.

Have not returned calls or paperwork this late in the year and have been by her place and there was others writing notes leaving them for here saying the same things that I am

She will sell your information to other people! She cannot be trusted!! She gave my kids information to someone else! I reported her to the irs! She thought I would be ok with it because she was giving me more money back ! I did not accept the offer! Identify fraud! Don’t go to her !!!

Do not trust this accountant. He will share your information with other people and does not keep your tax or personal information private.
