Elmer P. Lewis, CPA, EA - Saint Charles IL Tax Preparer

After spending 30 years working in tax management positions for Chicago area law firms, public accounting firms and corporations, Mr. Lewis formed Lewis & Associates Tax Planning, Inc. (LATP) in 2008. LATP is a boutique tax practice which focuses on tax planning and preparation for trusts, corporations, partnerships, nonprofit organizations and individuals.

LATP also performs business valuations for closely held corporations and IRS audit representations to challenge tax deficiencies in appeals and hearings.

Prior to forming LATP Mr. Lewis held the following positions:

• Tax Consultant at Gabriel, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of aftermarket auto components
• Controller at Machinery Systems, Inc., an equipment and machine leasing company.
• Assistant Controller at Ashland Products, Inc., a manufacturer of plastic parts for doors and windows
• Director of Tax at Glenn Ingram & Associates, P.C., second tier public accounting firm
• Director of Tax at Colombik & Associates, P.C. a tax law firm
• Director of Tax at Ulta Salon, Fragrance & Cosmetics, Inc., a nationwide retailer of cosmetics, fragrances and skin care products
• Tax Consultant for SOX 404 at Royal Dutch Shell Oil in Oslo, Norway,

Additionally, Mr. Lewis spent nine years as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Finance at DePaul University’ School and University of Phoenix Business School, both in Chicago, Illinois.
